Case 4: Solving Storage Challenges for Raw Materials and Finished Goods

page-1920-1080

The client is a manufacturer of high-performance polarizer films. To support production capacity expansion, the company needed a solution for high-density, zone-based storage of materials in various specifications, as well as intelligent and automated handling within the facility to reduce manual labor intensity.

Storage Challenges

  • Varying material sizes result in high manual labor intensity.
  • Large material volume leads to disorganized storage layout.
  • Lack of end-to-end visibility from production to warehousing causes information delays.

Project Results

The project deployed a combined solution of pallet stacker cranes and pallet shuttle robots, enabling high-density storage of both raw materials and finished products, with space utilization improved by over 80%. Inside the warehouse, two-way pallet shuttle robots work in coordination with the stacker cranes to move materials, which are then transported by four-way shuttle robots to the picking stations. Low-profile AGVs handle outbound transfers. The system covers critical processes including picking, conveying, de-palletizing, strapping, and palletizing, achieving fully unmanned operations with an accuracy rate of up to 99.99%.
